Fruit Drop A free fruit merge game in a glass jar
Drop fruit into a glass jar where two alike merge into a bigger one. Chain merges, reach the golden sunfruit and keep the jar under the line.
About Fruit Drop
Fruit Drop is a free online merge puzzle with real physics that you can play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. A tall glass jar stands on a greenhouse shelf, and a fruit hangs from a little wooden clip above it. Slide the clip, let go, and the fruit falls, rolls and settles among the others. When two fruits of the same kind touch, they squash together and pop into the next, bigger fruit right where they met, and that new fruit can bump into its own twin and merge again.
The Orchard chain has eleven fruits, each with its own shape and colour so you can read the jar at a glance: blueberry, kumquat, fig, lime, passion fruit, pomegranate, mango, starfruit, papaya, coconut and, at the very top, the glowing golden sunfruit. Merge two sunfruits for a Harvest: both burst into light and leaves for a thousand points, you earn an extra shake, and the next few fruits are small ones to give you room.
The catch is the jar. Every fruit takes space, bigger fruits take a lot of it, and a coral danger line runs across the top. A fruit that rests above the line glows amber, then the line beats red, and if it stays there for two seconds the run is over. Merging the fruit away resets its timer, so a well-placed drop can save a run at the last moment. Once per run, plus once per Harvest, you can shake the jar: every fruit gets a small nudge, which often frees a stuck pair.
Scoring rewards chains. Each merge is worth more the bigger the fruit it makes, and merges that follow each other within a moment build a chain multiplier of up to two and a half times. Points float up from every merge, and the chain counter grows at the rim.
Tips: keep small fruit together on one side and big fruit on the other, so matching pairs end up next to each other. Look at the next fruit in the bubble before you drop the current one. Don't bury a fruit under a bigger one unless you have its twin coming. Save the shake for a jar that is close to the line, not for a slow moment.
Classic jar is endless and keeps your best score, your best fruit and your run, so a closed tab picks up where you left off. The Daily jar gives everyone the same fruit sequence for the day, with a best score per day and a streak. Fill the Orchard book by making every fruit at least once to unlock new jar styles: Terracotta, Crystal and Lantern. The game loads in seconds, needs no download, and works with touch, mouse or keyboard.
How to play
Merge two fruits of the same kind into the next, bigger fruit, and keep the jar below the coral danger line. On a touch screen, drag anywhere to move the clip and let go to drop, or just tap where you want the fruit to fall. With a mouse, move to aim and click to drop. On a keyboard, move the clip with the Left and Right arrows or A and D, and drop with Space or Down. Tap the shake button at the bottom right, or press S, to nudge every fruit once. P or Esc pauses and M mutes.

FAQ
- When does a run end?
- When a fruit that has been in the jar for over a second rests above the danger line for two seconds in a row. It glows amber first, then the line beats red, so you have time to merge it away or shake the jar.
- How does scoring work?
- A merge into fruit number t of the chain is worth 2 × t × (t + 1) points: a kumquat 4, a mango 84 and a sunfruit 220. A Harvest of two sunfruits adds 1,000. Merges within 0.6 seconds of each other build a chain that multiplies their points by up to 2.5. Every drop adds 1 point.
- What does the shake do?
- It gives every fruit a small push up and to the side and wobbles the jar, which often brings a matching pair together. You start each run with one shake, get one more for every Harvest, and can hold up to three.
- What is the Daily jar?
- A run where the fruit sequence is the same for every player that day. Your best daily score is kept for the day, and playing on consecutive days builds a streak.
- What is the second chance?
- When a run ends you can watch a short ad to clear every fruit of the two smallest kinds in the jar and keep playing. It works once per run.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Your best score, best fruit, Orchard book, jar styles and the run in progress are saved on this device, and to your account when you're signed in.
