Siege Sling A free slingshot game: topple 30 forts

Pull back the sling and hurl enchanted stones at timber, stone and ice forts to pop every cheeky grumbler. 30 physics puzzles.

About Siege Sling

Siege Sling is a physics puzzle game about one sling, a handful of enchanted stones and a lot of wobbly forts. Hiding in every fort is a gang of grumblers: round little stone imps with pebble crowns, big eyes and a habit of pulling faces at you when you miss. Your job is to pop every one of them before you run out of stones.

Pull back the sling, watch the dotted line show where the stone will start to fly, and let go. The camera follows the stone into the fort. Wooden posts splinter, stone beams crack and ice shatters, and whole towers come down on the grumblers hiding underneath. Every piece is simulated with real physics, so the same shot always does the same thing. When you find the post that topples a tower onto its neighbour, you can do it again.

Five enchanted stones

You start with plain river stones. New stones arrive one at a time as you go:

  • Split stones break into three shards when you tap, which is great for hitting several targets at once.
  • Heavy stones are iron-banded boulders. Tap to slam one straight down through a roof.
  • Bounce stones are rubbery moonstones that ricochet off rocks and the ground.
  • Blast stones carry ember runes. Tap in flight for a full blast; left alone they only fizzle when they hit something.

Three worlds, thirty forts

Timberwood is full of timber huts and towers that are easy to topple. Quarry Crags has heavy stone forts perched on rock ledges. Frostmere has slippery ice palaces that shatter at a touch but slide in ways you won't expect. Every fort has a recorded solution, so every level can be beaten, and there is always a stone to spare.

Stars and scores

Breaking blocks and popping grumblers scores points, and every stone you didn't need is worth a 1000-point bonus. Win with fewer stones to earn three stars. Your best score and stars for every level are saved, and the total of your best scores goes on the leaderboard. A level takes about a minute, so it's ideal for a quick break, and you can always replay an old fort to beat your best.

How to play

  • Aim: press anywhere and drag back. The pouch follows your finger and the dotted line shows the start of the stone's flight. Pull further for more power.
  • Throw: let go. To cancel, drag back to where you started and let go.
  • Abilities: while a split, heavy or blast stone is flying, tap anywhere to use it.
  • Win: pop every grumbler. Stones you don't use earn a bonus and more stars.

FAQ

How do I get three stars?
Win with as few stones as you can. Each unused stone adds 1000 points, and three stars need about the score of the best known solution. Look for the post or beam that brings a whole tower down.
Is every level possible?
Yes. Every level has a recorded winning set of shots that our tests replay, and every level gives you at least one more stone than that solution needs.
What do the special stones do?
Split stones break into three when you tap. Heavy stones slam straight down when you tap, which is the only way through an iron-banded bunker lid. Bounce stones are springy and ricochet. Blast stones explode with full force where you tap, and only fizzle if they hit something first.
I ran out of stones. Can I continue?
Once per attempt you can watch an optional ad for one extra stone. If you would rather not, Retry restarts the level right away.
Does my progress save?
Yes. Stars and best scores for every level are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Siege Sling is made for touch and plays best with your phone turned sideways. It also works with a mouse or the keyboard.
