Hue Haven Free color by number pictures with a time-lapse replay
Tap and drag numbered colours onto a grid and watch a cheerful picture appear. Fill patches with the bucket and watch your painting replay as a time-lapse.
About Hue Haven
Hue Haven is a relaxing colour-by-number game. Pick a colour, tap or drag across the numbered cells, and watch a cheerful picture appear one patch at a time.
Every picture starts as a grid of pale numbered cells. Choose a colour from the palette at the bottom and every cell that needs that number lights up. Tap a cell to paint it, or drag your finger (or mouse) across a whole row to paint a streak of cells at once. As the colours go in, a fox, a lighthouse, a castle or a pot of tea slowly takes shape. There is no timer and no way to fail: paint the wrong colour and the cell just shows a faint tint for a moment, then clears. Pictures save as you go, so you can stop whenever you like and pick up exactly where you left off.
Thirty hand-picked pictures
The gallery holds thirty bright, friendly pictures in five themed shelves: animals, sweet treats, the great outdoors, everyday treasures and storybook scenes. They range from small 32 by 32 pictures with eight colours that you can finish over a coffee, up to big 64 by 64 canvases with a dozen or more colours when you want a long, calm evening project. Finished pictures sit in their frames on the shelf in full colour, and the ones you have not started yet wait as soft silhouettes.
Two boosters for the stubborn bits
The bucket fills a whole patch of one colour with a single tap and ripples the paint outward, which is perfect for big skies and walls. The finder zooms to the nearest cell you have not painted yet and circles it, so you never have to squint at a huge grid hunting for the very last cell. When only a few cells are left the finder is free. Finish a picture and you earn another of each, and you can watch a short ad for extra ones whenever you run out.
A new picture every day
Each day (UTC) there is one daily picture that is the same for everyone. Finish it for a bonus and build a daily streak. Because every picture appears once before any repeats, you will see the whole gallery come round.
Zoom, pan and time-lapse
Pinch to zoom in until every cell is a comfortable thumb-sized target and the numbers are easy to read, then drag with two fingers to move around. On a computer, use the mouse wheel to zoom, hold Space and drag (or drag with the right mouse button) to pan, and use the keyboard to paint. When you finish, a time-lapse replays your painting from the first stroke to the last, and you can watch it again any time from the gallery.
Tips
- Start with the biggest colour (number 1) and use the bucket on the large areas.
- Keep an unbroken run of correct cells going: every ten in a row raises your score multiplier, up to times five.
- Tap the whole-picture button to zoom out and see how far you have got.
- Finish a big picture without any booster for a bonus.
How to play
Pick a colour from the bar at the bottom: every cell with that number lights up. Tap a cell, or drag across several, to paint them. Pinch to zoom, drag with two fingers (or hold Space and drag, or right-drag with a mouse) to move around. The bucket fills a whole patch in one tap, and the finder shows you where to paint next.

FAQ
- Does a wrong colour cost me anything?
- No. Painting a cell with the wrong number just shows a faint tint for a moment. Nothing is lost except your streak multiplier.
- Is my progress saved?
- Yes. Every picture saves as you paint, so you can leave and come back to any of them. Progress is kept on this device, and with your account when you are signed in.
- What do the bucket and finder do?
- The bucket fills every connected cell of the same colour with one tap. The finder zooms to the nearest unpainted cell and rings it. You earn one of each for every picture you finish, and the finder is free when only a few cells are left.
- How does the daily picture work?
- Every day (UTC) there is one picture for everyone. Finish it for bonus points and keep your daily streak going.
- Can I see how I painted a picture?
- Yes. When you finish a picture you get a time-lapse replay, and you can watch it again from the gallery.
- Do I need to download anything or sign in?
- No. Hue Haven runs in your browser. Signing in is optional and only keeps your progress with your account.
