Ludo Rush A free ludo game against bots with their own styles
Race your tokens home on the classic cross board against bots with their own styles. Sixes and captures charge a Rush that nudges one roll.
About Ludo Rush
Ludo Rush is a free online race-and-capture dice game for one player against one to three computer rivals, and it runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer with nothing to install. You roll one die, move one token, and try to bring all your tokens home before anyone else does. It is the classic cross-shaped board game made quicker and a little more tactical.
The rules are the ones you know. A token waits in its yard until a roll lets it out: a 6, or in the fast Quick rush mode a 1 as well. A 6 also gives you another roll, but three sixes in a row forfeit the turn. Land on a rival token and it is sent back to its yard, unless it is standing on one of the eight haven squares, the four start squares and the four stars. After a full lap your token turns up its own home lane and needs the exact number to finish.
The twist is the Rush meter. Every 6 you roll charges it by one and every capture charges it by two. When it holds three charges you can spend them all to nudge a single roll up or down by one before you move. A 6 nudged down gives no extra roll, a 5 nudged up does, and a 3 nudged to a 4 can turn a near miss into a capture. The dice themselves are never weighted: every roll, yours and the bots', comes from one fair seeded generator, and the last ten rolls are shown under the die so you can see for yourself.
You can play three ways. Quick rush uses two tokens each and lasts about four minutes. Classic uses four tokens, leaves the yard only on a 6, and takes ten minutes or so; an unfinished game is saved after every move and waits on the menu as Continue. The Daily race is the same seeded dice and the same three bots for everyone on a given day, and the fewest turns to finish wins the day. Win seven days in a row for a streak achievement.
Your rivals have personalities. Marlo the Mild plays safe and sometimes dozes off. Juno the Hunter chases your tokens. Tess the Sprinter runs for home. Bram the Warden weighs every number you could roll next. Beat Marlo to unlock Juno and Tess, then beat both to meet Bram. Each rival gives you bronze, silver and gold medals, and medals unlock new board colours.
Tips: keep a token on a haven square when a rival is 1 to 6 squares behind you, save a full Rush meter for the moment it turns a near miss into a capture, and use the nudge to finish a token that is a step short of home. After three losses in a row to a rival, the next game offers a token already out.
How to play
Tap the die (or press Space or Enter) to roll. Then tap a glowing token, or press Tab to pick one and Enter to move it. A 6 or, in Quick rush, a 1 brings a token out of the yard; a 6 rolls again. Land on a rival to send it home, unless it stands on a haven square. Sixes charge your Rush meter by 1 and captures by 2; at 3 charges tap the minus or plus button (or press the minus or plus key) to nudge your roll by one. First player with every token home wins. P or Esc pauses and M mutes.

FAQ
- Are the dice fair?
- Yes. Every roll, yours and the bots', comes from one uniform seeded generator and is never weighted. The Rush nudge is the only thing that changes a roll, it is visible, and you earn it by rolling sixes and capturing.
- What is the difference between Quick rush and Classic?
- Quick rush gives each player two tokens that leave the yard on a 1 or a 6 and takes about four minutes. Classic gives four tokens that leave only on a 6, takes around ten minutes and is saved between sessions.
- What does the Rush meter do?
- Each 6 adds one charge and each capture adds two. At three charges you can spend them all to nudge one roll by plus or minus one before you move.
- How do the rivals unlock?
- Beat Marlo to unlock Juno and Tess, then beat both of them to unlock Bram.
- Will my game be saved if I close the page?
- Yes. An unfinished game is saved after every move and offered as Continue on the menu. Records, medals and your daily streak are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
