About Lost & Found Lane
A cozy hidden object game in your browser
Lost & Found Lane is a free hidden object game you can play on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. Somebody has lost their teddy bear, their reading glasses, their keys and their kite all over town, and you are the one with sharp eyes. Each level is a hand-painted street, from an autumn row of townhouses and a cobbled market to a harbour quay, a snowy mountain road and a seaside pier. The street is full of everyday things. Your shelf shows what to find. Tap an item and it lifts out of the picture with a sparkle and flies onto the shelf, stamped as returned.
Two ways to play every street
Every street has two modes. In Find you search for the things on your list, hidden among benches, barrels, flower pots, cats and crates. In Spot you see the same street twice, side by side on a wide screen or one above the other on a phone, and five to seven things have changed in the second picture: something is missing, has a new colour, faces the other way or has been swapped for something else. Tap a change in either picture and it gets a green ring in both.
Day and night
When you clear a street by day, it opens again at night. The windows glow, the lanterns come on, more things are lost, and your list only shows their shapes, so you have to know what you are looking for. Twelve streets, two times of day and two modes make 48 levels.
Why you will come back
- Three stars per level for a quick, clean search. Finds close together build a streak of up to double points.
- A collection album with 101 lost things on ten pages. Every item you return is stamped in, and a full page pays hint coins.
- A daily street that is the same for everyone that day, with a streak for playing on consecutive days and a leaderboard.
Tips
- Zoom in. Pinch on a phone, use the mouse wheel or the plus and minus buttons, and drag to look around.
- Search one part of the street at a time instead of jumping around.
- Wrong taps add seconds to the clock, and tapping everywhere at once blurs the view for a moment, so look first and tap once.
- A hint costs one coin and pulses around the area of the next item. Earn coins with three-star levels and full album pages.
How to play
Find the things shown on your shelf in the painted street and tap them. In Spot levels, tap each thing that is different in the second picture. Drag to look around, pinch, scroll or use the plus and minus buttons to zoom. The light bulb button gives a hint for a coin. On a keyboard, the arrow keys move a search circle, Space taps, plus and minus zoom and H gives a hint. P or Esc pauses and M mutes.

FAQ
- Is there a time limit?
- No. The clock only decides your stars and time bonus, so you can take as long as you like. Wrong taps add a few seconds to it.
- What changes at night?
- The street gets darker with glowing windows and lamps, more things are hidden, and the shelf shows only the shape of each item instead of its picture.
- How do I unlock more streets?
- Clear any two levels of a street to open the next one. Night levels open after you clear the same mode by day. The daily street is always open.
- What is the album?
- Every lost thing you find in a Find level is returned and stamped into the album. There are 101 to collect on ten pages, and each full page gives you three hint coins.
- How do I get more hints?
- You start with three coins. Each new three-star level gives one, each full album page gives three, and when you run out you can choose to watch a short ad for two more.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Stars, the album, coins and your daily streak are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
