About Pin Vault
Pin Vault is a free online physics puzzle game you can play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Every level is a stone treasure chamber cut open so you can see inside: walls, chutes, brass pins and pockets full of gold coins, glittering gems, glowing lava and cool water. Tap a pin and it slides out of the wall. Whatever it was holding pours down under real physics, and if the gold tumbles into the chest at the bottom, the vault is yours.
The catch is the order. Pull the wrong pin first and the gold lands in a pool of lava and melts, or rolls onto a row of spikes, or slips through a drain and is gone. Some pins should never be pulled at all. Each chamber is a small puzzle you solve by looking: follow where every pocket will flow, then pull the pins one by one in the right sequence.
New ideas arrive every few levels. Lava melts gold and must be kept out of the chest. Water poured on lava cools it into solid stone, and the cooling ripples through the whole pool in a puff of steam, which turns a deadly pit into a safe floor. Gems are worth an extra star. A small masked thief joins you in later chambers: sometimes he only has to stay safe, and sometimes he walks home to the chest as soon as the way is clear, pushing coins along in front of him. Heavy boulders can crush him, but a boulder dropped into a spike pit makes a bridge.
There are 60 hand-made levels in ten chapters, from the sandstone Gold Rush to the Grand Heists that mix every trick. Each level gives up to three stars: one for filling the vault, one for the loot (most of the gold and every gem), and one for doing it without a failed try. A retry is always one tap away, and the result arrives a few seconds after your last pull.
Everything you bank is kept in your vault room, where the piles of coins grow and a shelf slot lights up for each gem. Your stars and progress are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in. Pin Vault works with touch, mouse or keyboard, and a level takes well under a minute, so it is a perfect quick puzzle break.
How to play
Tap or click a pin to pull it out; on a keyboard press 1 to 9 for pin 1 to 9. Gold coins that fall into the chest count towards the goal shown under the screen. Keep lava, spikes and drains away from the gold, pour water on lava to turn it into stone, and keep the thief away from lava, spikes and falling boulders. When enough gold is in and only pins you do not need are left, tap Done. Press R or the retry button to try again, P or Esc to pause and M to mute.

FAQ
- How do I get three stars?
- Fill the vault to win the first star. The loot star needs most of the gold (usually 85 percent) and every gem in the chest. The clean star is for winning without failing the level first since you opened it.
- What does water do to lava?
- Lava that touches water cools into stone, and the cooling spreads through the whole lava pool in a ripple. Stone is safe for gold and for the thief, so pour the water before the gold.
- Why did the level end before I pulled every pin?
- Some pins are traps. When all the gold that can move has reached the chest, the level ends by itself; if pins are left and the goal is met, a Done button lets you bank the level.
- I am stuck. Is there a hint?
- Tap the light bulb. After a short optional ad, a hand shows you which pin to pull next and when, following the solution stored with every level.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Stars, the best loot per level and your vault are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
- Can I play with a keyboard?
- Yes. Number keys pull the pins (their numbers appear next to the rings once you press one), R retries, Space or Enter goes to the next level, P or Esc pauses and M mutes.
