Crypt Dash A free dungeon crawler game, one room at a time
Dash room by room through a cartoon crypt. Your hero shoots on their own; you dodge, pick upgrades and cook up synergies.
About Crypt Dash
Crypt Dash is a free dungeon crawler game you can play in your browser, on a phone or on a computer. It takes the room-by-room run of a roguelike and makes it friendly for one thumb: your hero shoots on their own at the nearest monster, so all you do is move, dodge and dash. Each run is four floors of a bright cartoon crypt, six rooms per floor, and takes about ten minutes from the first door to the last boss.
Every room is one screen with a few tombs and pillars to hide behind. The doors slam shut, skeletons and slimes climb out of glowing grave marks, and the fight is on. Rats rush you, skulls spit bullets, hoppers crouch before they leap, imps blink across the room and knights hide behind their shields. Every attack is telegraphed with a glow or a mark on the floor, so a careful player can always see it coming. When a hail of bullets closes in, tap the dash button: for a split second your hero is untouchable and zips straight through.
Clear a room and three upgrade cards appear. Ricochet makes your shots bounce off the walls, Ember Tips set monsters on fire, Frost Tips slow them, Split Shot fans out extra bolts, and there are twelve more to find. The fun is in the recipes: take Ricochet and Ember Tips together and they become Bouncing Flames, so every wall bounce bursts into fire. There are eight synergies to discover, and a card that would finish one glows gold so you know what you are cooking.
Floors two, three and four end with a boss: the Mire Mother fills the room with spiralling spit and acid rain, the Grave Golem slams the ground and charges, and the Hollow King sweeps the crypt with twin beams. Beat all three to clear the crypt.
Every run earns coins. Spend them on two more heroes, Wren the Hexer and Bram the Bellwarden, and on four relic upgrades that join the card pool. The Daily crypt gives everyone the same rooms, monsters and cards for the day, so you can compare scores with friends. Runs save at the start of every room, so you can close the tab and continue later.
How to play
Move: press anywhere on the screen and drag; a thumb stick appears under your finger. With a mouse, hold the button and drag. On a keyboard, use WASD or the arrow keys.
Shoot: your hero fires by themselves at the nearest monster they can see. Stand where you have a clear line and keep out of reach.
Dash: tap the round dash button at the bottom right (or press Space, Shift or K, or right-click). A dash is a short burst you can't be hit during, so use it to zip through bullets. It recharges in about a second.
Upgrade: when a room is clear, tap one of the three cards (or press 1, 2 or 3). Then walk through the open door at the top. Two upgrades from the same recipe form a synergy.
Always: pause with the pause button, P or Esc, and mute with the speaker button or M.

FAQ
- Is Crypt Dash free?
- Yes. Crypt Dash is a free dungeon crawler game that runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers. There is nothing to download or install.
- Do I have to aim?
- No. Your hero always shoots at the nearest monster they can see. You only move, dodge and dash, which makes it easy to play with one thumb.
- What are synergies?
- Some upgrades combine. Owning both halves of a recipe, such as Ricochet and Ember Tips, forms a synergy (Bouncing Flames) with a new effect. A card that would complete a recipe glows gold and shows the other half.
- How long is a run?
- A full run is four floors of six rooms and takes about ten minutes. The run is saved at the start of every room, so you can continue it later from the menu.
- How do I unlock new heroes?
- Every run earns coins, even a short one. Spend 400 coins on Wren the Hexer and 900 on Bram the Bellwarden, or buy relic upgrades for 200 coins each to add them to the card pool.
- What is the Daily crypt?
- Once a day everyone gets the same rooms, monsters and cards, played with Moss the Gravedigger. Your best daily score is kept for that date.
- Tips for beating the bosses?
- Watch the floor. Every boss attack is marked before it lands: step out of circles, stay off the charge line and keep moving around the Hollow King when his beams turn. Save your dash for the moment bullets are about to reach you.
