Harvest Hollow A free farm game in a cosy valley

Plant, grow and harvest on a cosy valley farm. Fill villagers' orders, raise hens and cows, and bake bread and pies.

About Harvest Hollow

Harvest Hollow is a cosy farming game about a little farm tucked into a green valley. You start with six plots of tilled soil, a handful of wheat and carrot seeds, and three villagers at the order board who would love some fresh food. Drag your finger across the soil and a whole row of seeds goes in at once. Wheat ripens in ten seconds, carrots in thirty. When the crops turn golden, drag across them again and they pop out of the ground and fly into your basket.

Fill orders, earn coins, grow the farm

Every villager card shows what they want and how much it pays. When you have everything, the card glows: tap it, the villager beams and waves, and coins and experience stars fly up to the top of the screen. Each level opens something new: corn, tomatoes, strawberries, potatoes, pumpkins and towering sunflowers, extra plots of land, and a growing order board with up to six villagers waiting.

From level 4 you can build a hen coop. Feed the hens corn and they lay eggs. A cow barn turns wheat and carrots into milk, a windmill grinds wheat into flour, and the bakery combines flour, eggs, milk and strawberries into crusty bread and fruit pies. Villagers pay far more for baked goods, so planning what to grow becomes the heart of the game.

A farm that keeps growing while you are away

Harvest Hollow is made for short visits. Crops keep growing and batches keep cooking while you are gone (up to eight hours), so a quick session is all it takes to harvest, fill a few orders and plant something slow before you leave. There is no energy bar and no waiting wall: seeds are always free, and the order board always holds at least one order you can fill with one planting of your field. If you want a crop or a batch done right away, you can choose to watch a short ad to finish it instantly. That is the only thing ads do.

Grown too much? The market stall buys your extras for half price, and villagers ask for more of whatever you have piled up. Once the farm is fully built, upgrade each building to work faster and help the village with eight projects, from a stone well to a clock tower. Each finished project stands beside your field and makes every order pay a little more, and every level brings a gift: coins, new neighbours and new looks for your plots.

Tips

  • Plant fast crops while you play and slow ones (pumpkins, sunflowers) just before you leave.
  • Tap an order you can't fill yet: it tells you what's missing and picks that seed for you.
  • Keep a little corn and wheat in stock so the coop, barn and mill never stand still.
  • Spend coins on new plots first; more plots means bigger harvests.

How to play

Pick a seed at the bottom, then tap or drag across empty plots to plant a row. When a crop is ripe it sparkles: tap or drag across it to harvest. Tap a glowing villager order to deliver it for coins and XP. Tap a building to feed it or collect what it made, and the basket to open the shop. Keyboard: arrows move a cursor over the field and Space plants or harvests; 1-8 pick a seed; H harvests everything ripe; Q W E R T Y deliver orders 1-6; Z X C V tap the buildings; B opens the shop. P or Esc pauses, M mutes.

FAQ

Do my crops keep growing when I close the game?
Yes. Crops and buildings keep working while you are away, for up to eight hours, so there is always something to harvest when you come back.
Is there an energy bar or a wait to keep playing?
No. Seeds are always free and you can always plant. The order board always has at least one order you can fill with one planting of your field.
What do ads do?
Only one thing: if you choose, a short ad finishes one growing plot or one building batch right away. You only get the speed-up if the ad plays to the end. There may also be an occasional short break after a level-up, never more than once every three minutes.
Does my farm save?
Yes. Your farm saves on this device as you play, and to your account when you are signed in.
What happens when the farm is fully built?
Upgrade your buildings to work faster and fund eight village projects. Each project makes every order pay 5% more, and your lifetime coins go on the leaderboard.
