Deep Dig Tycoon A free idle mining game with a mine that keeps digging
Tap to dig, hire miners and sink deeper shafts. Crack rich veins by hand, sell the mine for deed stars and start again richer.
About Deep Dig Tycoon
Deep Dig Tycoon is an idle mining game about building the deepest, richest mine in the valley. You begin with a single empty shaft and a pickaxe. Tap the rock and coins pop out. Eight taps later you can afford your first miner, who swings a pickaxe at the face while a little cart rattles the ore to the lift. From then on the mine earns by itself, and every coin you make goes into something deeper.
Crews, lifts and carts
Every shaft has three things to upgrade: the crew that digs, the lift that rides up and down, and the cart that carries the ore. Income is limited by whichever of the digging or the hauling is slower, so the panel at the bottom of the screen always glows on the upgrade that will help most, and tells you which side is holding the shaft back. Each stat doubles at levels 10, 25, 50 and 100, so every time you pass a milestone your crews cheer and the numbers jump. Open the next shaft when you can afford it: each one is worth about three times more than the one above, and the rock changes as you go down, from soil and copper to stone and iron, crystal caves with amethyst, magma with sunstone and finally the ancient ruins and their relic gold.
Vein events
Every ten shafts brings a vein: a short, hands-on break from waiting. A rock face lights up with glowing cracks, one after another, and you tap each before it fades. It lasts twelve seconds, builds a combo and pays a burst of coins worth several minutes of your income, more for a perfect run. Veins recharge while you are away, up to three at a time, so a quick visit can end with a big payday.
Away, but never idle
Your crews keep digging when you close the game, for up to eight hours. When you come back a welcome card shows what the mine earned, and you can choose to watch a short ad to double it. That is the only reward ad in the game, and it only pays if you finish it. Check in a few times a day and the mine always has something worth buying.
Selling the mine
Once you are twenty shafts deep you can sell the mine for deed stars. Each star adds ten percent to all your income, and it stays through every sale, so the next mine climbs much faster than the last. Three mine sites each have their own look and a bonus: Sunny Hollow, Frostpeak with faster crews and Ember Basin with faster lifts and carts. Earn stars to open them all.
Tips
- Follow the glowing button: it is the upgrade that raises income right now.
- Tap a shaft to dig by hand while you save for a milestone.
- Switch the buy amount to x10 or Max when your income is large.
- Don't miss a vein: even a failed one pays something, and a perfect one pays the most.
- Sell the mine when your income growth slows, not before shaft twenty.
How to play
Tap a shaft to dig for coins. Spend them in the panel below: hire miners, speed up the lift, enlarge the cart. Open new shafts from the list. When the glowing vein button appears, tap the cracks before they fade. Keyboard: arrow keys pick a shaft, Space digs, 1 2 3 buy crew, lift or cart, N opens the next shaft, K upgrades the pickaxe, X changes the buy amount, V starts a vein, D opens deeds. FAQ
- Does the mine keep earning when I close the game?
- Yes. Your crews keep digging while you are away, for up to eight hours. A welcome-back card shows what they earned.
- What do the ads do?
- The only reward ad doubles your welcome-back earnings, and only if you choose it and watch it to the end. A short ad may also appear after you sell a mine or finish a vein, never before your first play.
- What are deed stars?
- You get them when you sell your mine from shaft twenty down. Each star adds ten percent to all income in every mine, and they are never lost.
- How do vein events work?
- From shaft ten a vein charges every twelve minutes, even while you are away. Tap each glowing crack before it fades. A failed vein still pays a little; a perfect one pays the most.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Your mine is saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
