FreeCell Free FreeCell solitaire with a winnable daily deal
Classic FreeCell with every card face up, a daily deal that tightens from four free cells to two through the week, and a solver that proves every deal winnable.
About FreeCell
FreeCell is the solitaire game of pure skill, free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. All fifty-two cards are dealt face up into eight columns, so there is no luck in what you can see: only the order you choose. Build the four foundations up by suit from ace to king, using four free cells that each hold one card and any empty column as extra room. There is nothing to install and no account needed.
Every move is a small puzzle. Which column do you dig into to free that buried ace? Is a black six worth a free cell now, or will you need the cell later? When is an empty column worth more than a free cell? Cards stack down in alternating colours, and a whole run moves together when you have room for it: one card plus one for each free cell, doubled for every empty column. When a card can no longer be needed on the table it flies home on its own, so you can focus on the interesting decisions.
The daily deal has a weekly rhythm. Monday to Wednesday you play with four free cells on a shorter deal, Thursday to Saturday with three, and on Sunday with only two. It is the same deal for every player, and a solver has won it before it is offered, so every daily can be beaten. Each deal shows three star goals: win it, win it within par moves, and win it without using undo. A month calendar keeps your daily stars, and winning the daily on consecutive days builds your streak.
Random deals are solved before you see them too, so you never get stuck on a hopeless shuffle, and the par comes from the solver's own line. Start with four free cells; a win opens three cells, and a three-cell win opens the two-cell challenge. Stars unlock four copper-and-ink card backs and two more table tints, and stats for each cell count track wins, win rate, best time and fewest moves. Scores go to the leaderboard: ten points for every card sent home, three for every card you bring back out of a free cell, and a win bonus that grows the faster you finish, multiplied for three and two cells.
Tips: free the aces and twos first, and look at the bottom of every column before you start. Keep free cells empty for as long as you can, because every empty cell lets you move longer runs. An empty column is worth two free cells, so clearing a short column early often wins the game. If you are stuck, undo is unlimited, and a hint shows the next move the solver would make.
A deal takes five to ten minutes. Your deal in progress, stars, stats and settings save automatically.
How to play
Tap or click a card to move it, with the cards on top of it, to its best spot: a foundation if it fits, otherwise a column (the longest built run first), then an empty column, then a free cell. Tap again to try the next spot, or drag cards instead. Tap a card in a free cell to play it. Stack cards down in alternating colours; any card can go into an empty column. Runs move together when there is room: (free cells + 1) × 2 for each empty column. Safe cards fly home on their own (the Auto button turns this off). On a keyboard, the arrow keys pick a column or free cell and a card, Enter or Space moves it, C sends it to a free cell, U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, A toggles auto-play, P or Esc pauses and M mutes.

FAQ
- Is every deal winnable?
- Every daily deal and every random deal is checked by the solver before you see it, and only won deals are offered. On the rare random deal the solver can't finish in time, the game tells you so.
- Why does the daily deal have fewer free cells some days?
- The week tightens on purpose: four free cells Monday to Wednesday, three Thursday to Saturday and two on Sunday, so the week starts relaxed and ends with a real challenge. Fewer cells multiply the score.
- How many cards can I move at once?
- One card plus one for each empty free cell, doubled for every empty column. Moving into an empty column counts that column out, so the limit is half. The game moves the whole run for you in one go.
- How do I earn three stars?
- Win the deal, finish within the par shown at the top, and don't use undo. A run moved together counts as one move, and cards that fly home on their own don't count.
- How many hints do I get?
- Three per deal. After that you can watch a short ad for three more, once per deal.
- Is my game saved?
- Yes. The deal in progress, your stats, stars and daily calendar are saved on this device automatically, and to your Playora account when you are signed in.
