Pyramid Solitaire Free Pyramid solitaire: pair cards that add up to 13
Free Pyramid Solitaire: clear the pyramid by pairing cards that add up to 13, recycle the stock up to twice, and try a daily pyramid that is always winnable.
About Pyramid Solitaire
Pyramid Solitaire is the classic card game of pairs that add up to thirteen, free to play on your phone, tablet or computer. Twenty-eight cards are dealt face up into a pyramid of seven rows, and your job is to take them all away. Tap two open cards whose values add up to thirteen: a six and a seven, a queen and an ace, a jack and a two. A king is worth thirteen on its own, so you just tap it to clear it. There is nothing to install and no account to make: open the page and the first pyramid is dealt.
A card is open when no card overlaps it, so every pair you clear uncovers new cards and changes what you can do next. You can also pair a pyramid card with the top card of the waste pile. When nothing adds up, draw from the stock. When the stock runs out you can turn the waste over again, and the number of times you may do this is up to you: the default is two recycles, and you can choose from none to three for free play. Fewer recycles make a harder game.
The daily pyramid is the same for every player, changes at midnight UTC and keeps a streak of days in a row. A solver has proven that each daily pyramid can be cleared with at most one recycle, so the daily is always fair. Prefer your own pace? Free play deals a new pyramid whenever you like, with an optional winnable-only filter, so you do not spend ten minutes on a deal that cannot be won.
Every clear in a row without drawing raises a streak multiplier up to times five, and clearing a whole row of the pyramid pays a bonus. Each pyramid also has three star goals: clear it, clear it with at most one recycle, and clear it without using undo. Stars unlock new card backs and scenes, and your best scores go to the leaderboard. Stats keep track of your wins, win rate, fastest clear and longest streak.
Tips: look at the whole pyramid before you draw, and clear the cards that uncover the most new ones first. Count the values you still need, because the last card of a pair can be buried in the stock. Save your recycles for the moment you have planned a long chain, and use the hint button when you are stuck: it shows the next move of a winning line. A pyramid takes about five to eight minutes, which makes it a calm break from everything else. Your progress, the pyramid in play and your settings are saved automatically.
How to play
Tap two open cards that add up to 13 to clear them: ace is 1, jack 11 and queen 12. A king is 13 by itself, so tap it to clear it. A card is open when no other card overlaps it; you can also use the top card of the waste pile. If nothing adds up, draw from the stock, and when it is empty turn the waste over again (two times by default). Clear all 28 pyramid cards to win. On a keyboard, the arrow keys pick a card, Enter or Space taps it, D draws, U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, P or Esc pauses and M mutes.

FAQ
- Is every pyramid winnable?
- The daily pyramids are: a solver has cleared each of them with at most one recycle. Free play can be limited to winnable pyramids in the menu; otherwise a few deals simply cannot be won, which is part of the classic game.
- How do the 13 pairs work?
- Ace counts as 1, number cards as their number, jack as 11 and queen as 12. Two cards clear together when their values add up to 13, so 6 and 7, 5 and 8, or queen and ace. A king is 13 and clears alone.
- What are recycles?
- When the stock is empty you can turn the waste pile over to use it again. The number of times you may do that is the recycle count: two for the daily, and zero to three in free play. After that a short ad can give you one more.
- How do I earn three stars?
- Clear the pyramid for the first star, clear it using at most one recycle for the second, and clear it without using undo for the third. Stars unlock card backs and scenes.
- How does the streak multiplier work?
- Each pair or king you clear without drawing adds to your streak. Clears one to three score times one, four to six times two, and so on up to times five. Drawing from the stock, turning the waste over, or using undo ends the streak.
- Is my progress saved?
- Yes. The pyramid in progress, your stars, daily results and settings are saved on this device automatically, and to your Playora account when you are signed in.
