Gobble Hole A free hole game: swallow a toy town to grow
Steer a hungry hole through a toy town, swallow cones, cars, buses and houses to grow, and out-eat the violet rival hole before the bell.
About Gobble Hole
Swallow the whole town
Gobble Hole is a free 3D arcade game you can play in your browser on a phone or a computer. You steer a dark hole with a glowing orange rim across a bright little toy town. Anything that fits inside the rim tips over the edge and drops in with a gulp: traffic cones and flowerpots first, then benches, scooters and cars, then kiosks, buses, trees and whole houses. Every swallow makes the hole a little bigger, and a bigger hole can swallow bigger things. Each level lasts 90 seconds, and the clock only starts after your first swallow, so you can take a moment to look around.
From level 3 you are not alone. A violet rival hole eats the same streets. If one hole is at least 1.3 times wider than the other and slides over its centre, it gulps the other hole whole. Gulp the rival for a big bonus and it comes back small in a far corner a few seconds later. Get gulped yourself and you lose some of your size, but you keep playing. To clear a level, reach the size goal and eat more of the town than the rival by the bell.
Why it's fun
- The hole grows as you play, and the camera pulls back with it, so every level starts with cones and ends with you swallowing a whole block of houses.
- Swallows close together build a gulp chain that multiplies your points up to ×2.5.
- Thirty levels across three towns: Toyville Park, Harbour Market and Old Downtown. Levels 5, 15 and 25 are feast levels with no rival and a packed town.
- Earn up to three stars per level by eating most of the town, and unlock new hole skins with your stars.
- The daily town gives everyone the same layout and rival each day, with its own leaderboard.
- Your progress saves automatically on this device and to your account when you are signed in.
A level takes about a minute and a half, so it is easy to play one more. The game works with touch, mouse or keyboard, and you can pause or mute at any time.
Tips
- Sweep through the small stuff first. A field of cones grows you faster than chasing one car you can't fit yet.
- Watch for the SIZE UP! pop. It tells you a new kind of prop now fits, so head for the nearest one.
- Keep swallows close together to keep the gulp chain alive.
- Stay away from the rival while it is bigger than you, and hunt it when you are clearly bigger.
- Big props wobble on your rim when they don't fit yet. Leave them for later instead of pushing them around.
How to play
Press anywhere on the screen and drag: a small stick appears under your thumb and the hole moves the way you drag. With a mouse, hold the button and drag the same way. On a keyboard, use WASD or the arrow keys, and Space or Enter for the main button. Anything that fits inside the rim falls in and makes the hole bigger. Reach the size goal and out-eat the violet rival before time runs out. P or Esc pauses, M mutes.

FAQ
- How do I clear a level?
- Reach the size goal shown on the meter at the top of the screen, and from level 3 also eat more of the town than the violet rival hole before the bell. Eat 70% of the town for two stars and 90% for three.
- What happens when the rival gulps me?
- A hole that is at least 1.3 times wider than the other and covers its centre gulps it. If the rival gulps you, you lose 30% of your size and flash for a moment, during which you can't be gulped again. You keep playing.
- When does the timer start?
- Only after your first swallow, so you can look around first. If time runs out before you reach the goal, you can watch an optional ad once per attempt for 20 more seconds.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Unlocked levels, stars, best scores and your hole skin are saved on this device, and to your account when you're signed in.
