Neon Lanes A free highway racing game on neon night roads
Swipe between four lanes of a neon night highway. Shave past traffic to fill your nitro, then smash straight through it.
About Neon Lanes
Neon Lanes is an endless 3D highway racer that you play with one thumb. Your car is already rolling the moment the game loads: swipe left or right (or tap a side of the screen) to hop between four glowing lanes and slip through the gaps in the traffic ahead. It is easy to start, hard to put down, and every run lasts as long as your nerve does.
The twist is the near miss. Passing a car in the next lane over pops a "WHOOSH" and pumps energy into your nitro meter, and if you were still sliding between lanes as you passed it, you score a close call worth even more. String near misses together within a couple of seconds and the combo climbs, the whoosh rises in pitch and the meter fills faster. When it is full, fire nitro: the camera widens, speed lines streak past and for three seconds your car bulldozes any traffic in its way, sending cars tumbling and showering sparks. So every gap is a choice: take the wide, safe lane, or shave right past a bumper to charge your next boost.
The road changes as you go. Every kilometre rolls you into a new zone with its own sky, lights and weather: the dusk skyline of Neon City, the moonlit mesas of Desert Night, the wet glossy streets of Rain Run and the rushing ring lights of the Neon Tunnel, then around again. Speed and traffic density climb steadily with distance, up to a fixed cap, and the traffic always leaves you a way through, so every crash is a lesson rather than bad luck.
Three missions are always waiting, such as "5 near misses in 10 seconds", "Smash 4 cars with nitro" or "Drive 2,000 m". Finish them in a single run to earn bonus coins, and new ones take their place. Coins also come from the road itself and from distance, and they unlock eight cars in the garage, each built from simple low-poly shapes with its own silhouette and colour: a zippy hatchback, a wedge coupe, a delivery van, a muscle car, a bubble car, an open-wheel racer, a lifted pickup and a hovering car with no wheels at all. Spin them on the turntable before you buy. Cars are cosmetic, so the leaderboard stays fair.
Neon Lanes runs in your browser on phones, tablets and computers with no download, saves your best distance, coins and cars, and works with touch, mouse or keyboard.

FAQ
- How do I fill the nitro meter faster?
- Chain near misses. Each one adds to the meter, close calls add more, and a combo of near misses within about two seconds of each other adds a bonus on top.
- Is there always a way through the traffic?
- Yes. Every row of traffic leaves at least one open lane that you can reach in time from wherever the last gap was. Looking a little further ahead makes the double lane changes much easier.
- What does nitro do?
- Nitro makes you 50% faster for three seconds and lets you smash straight through traffic for bonus coins. You stay safe for a moment after it ends while the car slows down.
- Do the cars drive differently?
- No. All eight cars handle the same and share the same size, so unlocking cars is about style, and the leaderboard stays fair.
- What happens when I crash?
- On a good run you can watch an optional ad once to clear the traffic around you and keep going. Otherwise the results screen shows your distance, near misses and coins, and one tap starts a new run.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Your best distance, coins, cars and missions are saved on this device, and to your account when you are signed in.
