Rumble Ridge A free hill climb game with a wobbly truck
Drive a wobbly truck over endless hills. Land flips to refill your fuel, upgrade your garage and push your record further.
About Rumble Ridge
Rumble Ridge is a physics driving game about one question: how far can you get? You drive a wobbly little pickup over endless hills, with a fuel tank that is always running down. Hold the gas to climb, ease off before a crest, and keep the driver's head off the ground. One bad landing flips you, and an empty tank leaves you rolling to a stop.
Flips refill your fuel
Here is the twist. Every backflip or frontflip you land tops up your tank, so the risky line is also the one that keeps you going. In the air, the gas tips the nose back and the brake tips it forward. Spin a full turn, land on your wheels, and you get coins and a fifth of a tank. Chain tricks together, such as flips, long air time and clean landings, and a combo multiplier climbs all the way to five.
Four worlds, four kinds of physics
The ridge starts in a sunny meadow with honest grip. Drive far enough and the Mud Flats open, with sloppy traction and bigger bumps. After that comes the Ice Pass, where the tyres barely bite and every climb needs a run-up. Last is the Moon Base, with a third of the gravity, huge jumps and flips around every corner. Every world is endless and seeded, and the hills grow taller and steeper the further you go.
Your garage
The coins from every run go to the garage. Upgrade the engine for more power, the tyres for grip, the suspension for softer landings and the fuel tank for range. The upgrades are kept between runs and work on every vehicle. Save up for three more rides: the light, flip-happy Dune Hopper, the huge-wheeled Boulder monster truck and the long, grippy Crater Crawler rover.
Records and a daily ridge
Each world keeps your best distance, and a flag on the course marks it, so you always know when you're about to beat it. Signposts count every 100 metres. The Daily ridge gives everyone the same course, world and loaner vehicle for the day, with its own leaderboard.
Rumble Ridge plays in landscape or portrait, on phones, tablets and computers, with big thumb pedals, the mouse or the keyboard. Runs last from half a minute to a few minutes, so it fits a short break, and it's easy to play just one more.
How to play
Hold the right side of the screen (or Right / D / Up / W) to give gas, and the left side (or Left / A / Down / S) to brake. Hold brake when you're stopped to reverse. The run ends if the driver's head touches the ground, or when the fuel runs out and the truck stops. In the air, gas tips the truck back and brake tips it forward: use them to land on both wheels, or to spin flips. Drive over coins to collect them and over red fuel cans to fill the tank. Every flip you land adds fuel too. Spend your coins in the garage on engine, tyres, suspension and fuel tank upgrades, and on new vehicles. P or Esc pauses and M mutes.
Tips: ease off the gas before a sharp crest so you don't fly too far. If the nose rises on a steep climb, let go of the gas for a moment, or tap the brake. Land with the truck matching the slope for a clean-landing bonus. Air time over 0.9 seconds pays coins as well.

FAQ
- How do I get more fuel?
- Drive over the red fuel cans, which fill the tank. Every flip you land also adds a fifth of a tank, and the fuel tank upgrade in the garage makes the tank bigger.
- Why did my run end?
- A run ends when the driver's head touches the ground, when the truck is stuck on its roof, or when the tank is empty and the truck has stopped. After a crash you can watch an ad once per run to keep driving with a full tank.
- How do I do a flip?
- Go over a crest at speed. In the air, hold the gas to rotate backwards or the brake to rotate forwards, then let go in time to land on your wheels. A flip only counts if you land it.
- How do I unlock the other worlds?
- Drive 500 m in the Meadow to open the Mud Flats, 600 m in the Mud Flats to open the Ice Pass, and 700 m on the ice to reach the Moon Base.
- What is the daily ridge?
- A course that is the same for everyone for one day, in that day's world and with a loaner vehicle, so the daily leaderboard is fair. A new one starts every day at midnight UTC.
- Is my progress saved?
- Yes. Coins, upgrades, vehicles and records are saved on this device, and to your account when you're signed in.
- Can I play in portrait?
- Yes. The game fills the screen in landscape or portrait. Landscape shows a little more road ahead.
